send to thenameofyourgroup@yahoogroups.com

obviously put the name of your group before @yahoogroups.com
Reply:You can send emails to your group(s) by first clicking the "to:" and then click "categories" in your address book, then select the your group.

How can I get a yahoo group to unsubscribe me when I have already asked by sending unsubscribe email 4 times?

I have requested to unsubscribe 4 different times. I get an email in Spanish saying (I assume)they will unsubscribe me, but it never happens.

How can I get a yahoo group to unsubscribe me when I have already asked by sending unsubscribe email 4 times?
you can do it yourself. From Yahoo, go into My Groups. Click on the tab for Edit My Groups. %26amp; then simply select the box that correlates to the group you want to leave.
Reply:Follow these directions:

http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/gro...

Hope that helps!
Reply:well you have send the unsubscribe letter but the proper method completes in two steps...

1. Send a blank email to groupname-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

2. A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox (check it also in your bulk), Open that email %26amp; click the confirmation link in that.

Your unsubscription is successfully completed.

Re:Yahoo Groups. How do I stop Receiving Email frmo my group?

I have attempted to stop receivng email from my group and have been unsuccsesful. Short of canceling my email account "valg0239@netzero.net I wish to stop receivng these emails. What do I do?

thank you for an answer.

Re:Yahoo Groups. How do I stop Receiving Email frmo my group?
On your yahoo groups page, there should be a edit / user profile type link, from there you should be able to unsubscribe from the group therefore not receive emails.

Guys would you get mad if a young lady got your email address from a group email and then emailed you?

I am interested in this guy, but all we do is stare at each other. Neither one of us ever makes the first move so would it be a immature thing to do if I just emailed him out of the blue? I don't know what I would really say, but I don't know any other way to start communication because neither one of us will step up. I am in my late 20's and he is in his early 30's but we only see each other at this weekly event that's how I saw his email address.

Guys would you get mad if a young lady got your email address from a group email and then emailed you?
I would go for it. Nothing ventured nothing gained
Reply: Go for it! Treat it like someone misdialed and reached you over the phone. You have the option to keep a conversation going or quickly hang up. Tell him that you happen to have his e-mail address and if he has no objection, you would appreciate an answer from him. He has no choice than to answer you nicely and you go from there. Do not say much in the first letter. Treat it like shaking hands for the first time.
Reply:Its OK to email him IF the email list is public knowledge at this event/group/whatever. If you saw the email on a private list or somewhere that is not public knowledge, then no - don't email - you'll just have to talk to him in person next week.
Reply:i think you should just approach him at the group event.

it will show your confidence, which is always attractive, and it will eliminate any awkwardness when you see each other after the email.
Reply:go for it its just an email! he will either answer it if he wants or not if he doesnt. nothing bad can come out of it! go for it! if he were to get mad then that would be a very weird angry type of person haha.
Reply:I don't think it would be a big deal. Worst case scenario is that he's not interested so he ignores and/or deletes the email.
Reply:email the man already say or ask anything about the event don't forget to make sure he knows who you are. the relationship will go from their if its meant to be.
Reply:Sounds interesting....send the email already
Reply:No one should get angry getting an email from someone. If they did they aren't worth wasting time over.
Reply:It depends on if I wanted to hear from the girl or not. If I am not interested in her, I don't want her initiating an e-mail without my permission.
Reply:nope
Reply:I don't think he'll get mad. He'll either reply or not reply. I say go for it!
Reply:hell no i would answer it with a yes or a no.. good luck i hope it yes
Reply:If she was hot I wouldn't be offended at all...If you think he's attracted you, go ahead and give it a shot.

When inviting people to join group, is there a way to say anything or is all you can do is put in their email?

For instance, I want to tell people why I'm inviting them to join the group or tell others to please respond since they said they wanted to join but didn't answer the first invitation.

When inviting people to join group, is there a way to say anything or is all you can do is put in their email?
you could send them a regular email with the URL pasted in explaining the group and asking them to join and reply.
Reply:yahoo disabled the text box due to spammers. you can send an e-mail yourself ahead of the invite asking them to respond

Please give me instructions on how to place certain groups of people into one email group?

go to http://groups.yahoo.com open your group. then go to the old groups and download the members lists and then go to the new group and add (10) them or invite (50) per day :)

Please give me instructions on how to place certain groups of people into one email group?
Can you be more specific? Are you referring to mail within Yahoo Groups, or Yahoo Mail, or some other mail software such as Outlook Express?

If I am a part of a yahoo mailing group, can I still email one of the people in the group privately?

Is everything I write available to everyone else in the group?

If I am a part of a yahoo mailing group, can I still email one of the people in the group privately?
Yes, you can. Just click on their e-mail address, or copy and paste it on your message's TO section.
Reply:depending on what the default setting of the group is, depends what the default ends up in the Send To field. anyone can back space that out and enter an address :) it wont go to all eyes of the group
Reply:You can email privately by clicking their email address, write your message, then posting to the member not to the group.

Test it first with a harmless message to be sure it doesn't go to the group post by mistake.

And know that you can't prevent the recipient from posting it to the group, or forwarding it to other members.
Reply:Yes, if you know their email address.

also, they have to have email service.

I want to move all my groups to another email group how do I do this?

Unfortunately, there is not a way for you to automatically move all of your members to another Yahoo! Group or email group that is not related to Yahoo! The only way to do it is to post a message to the group with instructions for what the members need to do in order to join the new group.

I hope this helps!

If I received an email and the 'To' field has the sender's address, does this mean it was a group/mass email?

Also, my own email address does not appear in the To Field.

Thank you for your help everyone.

If I received an email and the 'To' field has the sender's address, does this mean it was a group/mass email?
yes kind of

He used bcc blind carbon copy

To to shows his address on every ones e-mail

And every address in bcc gets a copy without showing you everyone Else's address

It's nice to you that you don't get a cluttered e-mail

And it's privacy for all the other e-mail addresses

That's how spammers get some of there addresses

My Spam folder is full. Think Spam group changes name each email. What do I do to stop them?

Every day I open email %26amp; check for spam before opening anything %26amp; send them to Spam. Every day there is a new list of names with almost same messages but different names. Can't Yahoo do something to stop this? Also I have noticed that if you click "Next" when viewing emails, you could accidently open a "Spam" email. Yahoo should be able to fix it so you can view the "Next" email but not have it opened.

My Spam folder is full. Think Spam group changes name each email. What do I do to stop them?
What I do to avoid so much spam in my main account is I have a couple of accounts. I use my main account for friends mail and bank stuff. And then for when I sign up for an Internet service I use a secondary account. What you should do is leave the account you have as your secondary and start a new one, sending the information to only your friends so that you don't have to deal with all the spam crap.
Reply:I got some little idea on how to fight spam. Get it here and please give comment on the method.

But, when you sent up the accounts, you can block spam even before it gets to you, it's been awhile, but check it out when you do set up another account, that way you do not need to bother to even see the spam.

Works for me.

I belong to a group that wants to establish an email group. Can you tell how to establish yahoo email group?

I belong to a group that wants to establish an email group. Can you tell how to establish yahoo email group?
Browse inside the various groups' categories on this page: http://groups.yahoo.com/ Then start a group and place it in the category best suited to your group. Take your time getting all the management settings just the way you want them. If you run into problems, don't hesitate to ask us for help. Good luck!
Reply:Just go the the "Groups" link on the Yahoo homepage and click on Creat a group. Follow those instructions and invite your group via email to join. Very easy to set up. Good luck!

Is it ok to reset members email options within the group?

I just went through the members list yesterday for my group, and noticed that half my members chose the "no email" setting. I feel that if you join an email group, you should at least choose to get special notices. My reasoning is that you "could" forget you joined a group, and without the mods being able to send special notices you would just be a "quiet" member. Not really there, not really participating, but taking up residency. I do not mind members having conversation outside the group (that is what it's for, making friends) but I do mind when we have no activity, and half of total group not getting reminded they are still in a group.

Is this wrong? I changed the "no email" to "special notices" already, and then sent out an email explaining what I did and why. I had a reply, basically saying that some people just do not want email, but do go and read the postings. Should I make it an option again?

Thank you in advance.

Is it ok to reset members email options within the group?
Of COURSE you should make it an option again. If you are offended or slighted that some folks don't want to participate in the way that you see fit, then you could establish a group with very clear guidelines from the start. Anything else is clearly an attempt to control the behaviour of others. And really, you have to ask yourself, how much time do you really want to spend micromanaging the group?

Some people are too shy to commit to communication until they get to know others in the group or until they see where the group is headed.

If you really want to insist that members take at least minimal contact, then it should be established at the point of joining, NOT later.

Maybe start a new group where this is the case, and dissolve the current group, sending regrets to the current members where they are invited to transfer if agreed?

Or, accept that maybe the group can grow on its own and all you can ever hope to do is direct it and shape it, and if it fails, it fails.

Good Luck!
Reply:Interesting question.

I think that for almost all groups, a policy of "special notices" as minimum is totally acceptable.

Consider this scenario :

One of your members accidentally sends a virus.

If you only read the website of the group - you could accidentally get and open said virus.

If an owner or a moderator sends a special notice - you`ll be warned so much quicker.

However, people being who they are, i do not think you will get much support from some people, and might even lose members over this.

You have to decide if it is worth it - although i think if you join a group, you should participate.

What does it mean when someone sends you a group email?

I was sort of dating someone. It didnt work out for me cos, he was a bit unreliable and bad with contacting me. So, i told him, i dont think this is working out.

I never heard back from him, so dont know what he thinks about this - if he agrees, disagrees, is sad or not fussed about it...

Now he has started to send me group emails (you know, like joke emails you send to about 20 people), and before he NEVER ever sent me a group email.

I have done this in the past if i want to keep in touch with people i dont contact often.

What do you guys think of this? Is he trying to contact me or is it just harmless emailing?

What does it mean when someone sends you a group email?
sounds like he just hits his mailbox addresses and sends group e-mails to everyone in it and hasn't removed you, if you don't want to be in contact tell him to remove your e-mail address or just block him

good luck
Reply:Or does he send the e mails out to a group of people en block and he's never removed your name? Its a toughy

Auto login script to take my users to a group email account?

I am the president of a school club, and I started a club website. It is a forumotion page, so we haven't bought our own domain yet. I would like to create a link in the menu bar to a group email account for my officers to use. I've completed that much, and I have the email address set up but I would like to have a script that will automatically log into the email address for them when they click the link (which only they can see because of special permissions). Or even log into a site which will retrieve the email from the original account (such as Fuser.com). This would make it much easier.

I have tried the following:

http://username:password@www.website.com

with, of course, the needed information. But It didn't work.

Auto login script to take my users to a group email account?
I'm not sure of your environment, but it sounds like you're trying to login your users into a web based email account. I'm also assuming that there's a web page where they input a login and password to gain entry to that email account.

If that's the case, here's what I can suggest. From your menu bar, you have a link which will kick off some JavaScript which will essentially submit the login/password to the web based email system. You can also do this by creating a PHP/ASP.NET page which does the same thing as well.

Here's an example of how this could work with JavaScript:

%26lt;form name="hiddenEmailForm" action=" { url of email login form }"%26gt;

%26lt;input type='hidden' name='login' value='loginname'%26gt;

%26lt;input type='hidden' name='password' value='loginpassword'%26gt;

%26lt;/form%26gt;

%26lt;script language="JavaScript"%26gt;

function emailLogin() {

document.hiddenEmailForm.submit();

}

%26lt;/script%26gt;

%26lt;a href="javascript:emailLogin();"%26gt;login to email%26lt;/a%26gt;

Do I need to sign up using my school email in order to join my schools facebook group?

or can i use any email and then get into the group in another way

you can associate a second/third email address with your facebook account, for university and colleges you will need a school email address to register it. Not for high schools though.

I have a group of email addresses and want to send the list to a friend?

Export to a file, remove the ones you dont want on it, and send to your friend.

I have a group of email addresses and want to send the list to a friend?
copy the addresses from the address book when u get them on the 'To:' bar, and mail them to your friend
Reply:The easiest thing that i will do is send an email to all the email address including your friend. The message can be some news , facts or jokes so your friend will have the whole list of email addresses . you can even compose a mail and add all addresses from the address book and before sending copy the whole list of addresses from the" to" Field and email it to your friend.

How do I group a bunch of pics together that I've saved on my computer to be sent in one email?

For example, once I save all the pics I want from my memory card onto my computer, I end up having to send one picture per email because I'm not sure how to group them all together and put them all in just one email.

How do I group a bunch of pics together that I've saved on my computer to be sent in one email?
It is easy with Hot mail. When you have attached your first picture, click the 'attach another' button to add another. You can do this as much as memory permits.
Reply:yepper, Zip it . .. attach it. . %26amp; send if off!. .
Reply:What email program do you use? It depends upon that.

Try downloading WinZip which will allow you to compress all files in one.
Reply:look for winzip on your computer. if you have it use it to archive all of you images into one zip file. it can't be larger than 1gb or your email provider won't let you send it. if you don't have winzip download this instead http://www.7-zip.org/

if it is then there is another way.

鈽呪槄 TRANSFER LARGE FILES 鈽呪槄

鈼?Here is a much better alternative to sending large files as email attachments. Most email providers limit attacment sizes to 10 megsbytes or less. With this service your limit is one gigabyte.

鈼?TIP: Before attempting to do the following I suggest that you turn off your computer to reset all of your system's defaults and to reallocate memory. This way you computer is less likely to crash while uploading your large files. Remember anything that can go wrong will go wrong and it will cause as much pain and grief as possible! So why take a chance?

鈼?Intructions: Very Easy!

1) Go to the link below.

2) When it asks for a friend's email address you can put as many friends email addresses in there as you like as long as you separate them with commas.

3) Click on BROWSE to locate your file on your hard drive. Double-click the filename and the it will appear in the filename box.

4) Enter your own email address.

5) Click the submit button to upload the file.

6) Now the server will send an email to each friend with a link for them to come and download the file. You have the option of delting the file youeself after your friends download it or leave it and it will automatically be deleted after 7 days.

鈽?http://www.yousendit.com/
Reply:As long as the person on the other end has Windows you can ZIP(standard software) the folder shut that has all the pictures you want to send to them in one shot...You do this by rightclicking on the folder and choose add to zipfile and it will then make a folder that looks like it has a zipper on it...this folder will have all the pics in and and can be sent as one file...
Reply:This is more complicated then it'd seem, theres a lovely little file type called .zip. If you have Windows XP theres not much you have to do, get the files you want in one central area to make them easier to group, then select all, and then right click and select "send to %26gt; compressed (zipped) folder, and send the .zip it creates as an attachement, then when they receive that file they can just open it and unzip them or open them from the zip itself

How do we come out of a email group?

Each email group has an option to unsubscribe.

So either goto the group page and click on unsubscribe or

in each group email,At the end you will see a message which goes something like this..."To unsubscribe from the group send a blank email to this email id".So you can send the email to the specified email id and get unsubscribed.

How do we come out of a email group?
check the email group's options for opt out. Normally all email groups would have one.
Reply:On most email group, there would be a way to opt out from the mailgroup, usually tagged at each mail at the topmost or bottommost. If you don't find the way, ask the mailgroup how, some expert members should've known how.

How do I send email to a yahoo group from a gmail address using incredimail?

You can't do it. I think so.

When email to more than one - as a group, do you BCC to the others so as to protect their addresses?

If yes, ...What percentage of the time?

If no, is it because you don't know how or some other reason?

When email to more than one - as a group, do you BCC to the others so as to protect their addresses?
I bcc those who don't know the main recipients.
Reply:If you use BCC, no one will know who else received your email, so everyone's email is protected. I would use that if I didn't want everyone to know who received my email. I use that when forwarding spam and funny email sometimes.
Reply:You can use the BCC so others won't see who is on your list, But, if you have a group of friends you always send mail to, simply go into setting and set up a 'group'. This is easy and nobody will ever know who or how many people are in this group. Remember, when you forward something to delete everyone's address that is showing in the body of the message.
Reply:I use the bcc to others so that they do not know that I have sent same email to other people
Reply:No. I only BCC to my husband if I don't want the main recipient(s) to know I'm telling him stuff.

I would only email to a group that all has each other's addresses or at least should (say, all my sisters and aunts), otherwise I'd send separate mails.
Reply:It is best to BCC to protect their addresses. Just as you won't go around giving out your contacts' phone numbers and addresses to people.
Reply:yes... i'd have to say i use the bcc option about 90% of the time... the only time i show everyone's email would be for business purposes when i want to ensure that everyone is on board!
Reply:When a group of people know one another (family, business associates, etc.) then I do not BCC. One reason is, if I'm sending to a group information pertinent to that group, it's nice to display the e-mail so someone on the list can see if I've skipped someone who should have had the information.

However, if it's just a mass forward (don't do them often), I'll use BCC.

I have received e-mail chains in the past from "friends of a friend of a friend" (people I've never met or conversed with online) who received my e-mail address when a forward was passed along without using BCC. Not only is this rude, in my opinion, but pretty sad. Anyone who actually believes in those e-mail chains and the number of people you have to send them to should be ashamed to grab the e-mail address of someone they don't even know in order to meet the quota.

How do I set up a group email account?

By having a group, you have a group email address. The address is usually groupname@yahoogroups.com, unless you made the group address different. This would be done under Management -%26gt; Description %26amp; Appearance -%26gt; Web address. The emails sent to this account post to the group.

Is there a problem with group email.?

I have a group set up (List) of contacts so I can e-mail them all in one go. This has been working fine for over a year. Now when I try to send I get an error message saying "missing or malformed recipiant"

I have more than one group set up and this happens on them all. I havnt added or deleted any contacts from the group when it was working fine.

If I leave the new mail plus and go back into classic mail, I can send stuff just fine. So the individual addressess must all be fine, it just effects the new mail.

Hope somebody can help, Is anyone else having this problem?

Is there a problem with group email.?
You are not alone in this. it happened to me 10 days ago, the group (I'll refer to the distribution list by this term) was working fine one day, then the next day I got the same error messages as you. And like you, it works fine when I switched back to classic mail. I contacted yahoo, and the team that is handling my report asked me to send them screen shots, which I did. Today I received the most idiotic response I can imagine -- the guy said, "You'll have to reconstruct the group". If it worked once before and then stopped working, but still works in classic, then the problem is a bug they introduced in new mail in between the time our group mail worked and then stopped working.

However it seems to be ok on small groups. One of mine has only 5 people in it and it is ok. The one that fails has 44 in it. So, try a small group and see if there is a difference. If there is, one obvious bug for the Yahoo team to check is an unintended size limit their modification introduced. But we should not have to advise them on strategies for de-bugging! It is simple enough to start with a small group, then keep increasing its size until it fails. But it could also be something more subtle.

I reported to them some experiments I tried. I switched browser, switched operating systems, etc. The error is persistent, but in all the permutations classic works with the group. I did not give them the idea in the preceding paragraph as I am curious to see how long it will take for it to occur to them as among the things they should check.

I just told them if they cannot fix it soon, I'll migrate permanently to gmail as I already use it occasionally. If enough of us threaten to do this, we might get a sensible response. I dislike their tone that implies I am an idiot. I happen to know quite a bit about software systems, and am aware that it is not unusual for bugs to creep in during modifications for enhanced performance. but an admission from the team that it is a bug, and they are trying to fix it, would be the polite thing to do!

How can i prevent recipients in group emails from seeing each other's email addresses?

I am aware of BBC, but it requires an address in the "TO:" field. I do not want that address to be visible. Is it possible to hide it?

How can i prevent recipients in group emails from seeing each other's email addresses?
Depends on which program you use. Not all email programs require an address in the To: field. Or, just type a bogus address in their. No other way other than BCC i know of.
Reply:People will be able to see the "from" field anyway. So I suggest using the same address in the "to" field as the account you are sending it from.

Then, as suggested by the others, add all group email address to the blind carbon copy section (bcc:).

If you still don't want to use your email in the "to" field, then add an old email address that you no longer use. The message will still be sent to the group without them seeing each other's email.
Reply:Put your own address in the to field and BCC the rest.
Reply:The most effective way I've found is setting the "To" as my own e-mail address and then Bcc'ing the other folks.

How can I creat one email address for a group? Something like egroup for family members.?

Like egroup for family members so we don't have to sent 30 different emails. Instead we can just sent one email and all the family members would get that perticular email.

How can I creat one email address for a group? Something like egroup for family members.?
It's really easy to do in Yahoo mail. Just go to contacts, click "add list", and enter their addresses. Then, when mailing the message, just use the name of the group instead of their individual addresses.
Reply:Create a family email address on Yahoo or Gmail, and give everyone the password.

For example: "SmithFamily" at gmail or yahoo, or whichever email provider you use.

When you send an email to "Smith Family" then use the cc: on the email to put in the individual family members' email addresses.

That way, if you write an email for (just examples here, they are not real: "smithfamily@yahoo.com" and cc. to "ben54@yahoo.com, and "maryagnes@yahoo.com", etc. then the FAMILY email will be sent, but each individual person will be able to REPLY to the email from his or her own individual email address.

That way, when your sister, brother or mother writes back, you will know which individual is emailing back.

Good luck, you are lucky to have a large family for communicating!

How can I stop getting group email?

I setup a yahoo account and entered an alternative email address. I then subscribed to a group. I started receiving one email (at my alternate email address) for every post that someone made to the group.

I changed my group membership email settings to receive a daily digest. It did not work.

I then unsubscribed from the group. That did not work.

I then left the group. Still received emails. (and I am talking hundreds of emails a day)

I then removed my alternative email address from my yahoo member account. That did not work.

I have spoken with the group moderators and they are stumped. I am at my wits end clicking on each of these emails, every day, to delete.

Can anyone help me or even direct me to some contact information for a yahoo help center or something? I can鈥檛 find any yahoo customer service contact info on their website.

when you started making al those changes, you didn't give it long enough for it to reflect before you changed it again. it takes time for those servers to catch up, yahoo isn't al that fast.

here is the help form- you'll probably have to wait it out once you left the group for the e-mals to stop, and yahoo wont be able to hurry that process

Reply:Sometimes you can send an email saying only the word "Stop" to the email address you get the emails from or the admin email address.

Hope this helps, Rohan

How can I creat one email address for a group? Something like egroup for family members.?

Like egroup for family members so we don't have to sent 30 different emails. Instead we can just sent one email and all the family members would get that perticular email.

How can I creat one email address for a group? Something like egroup for family members.?
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com and click "start a group." Follow the instructions, which include allowing you to invite people through their email address. Once they accept the invite, they'll get any email sent to the email address that Yahoo! Groups provides you for "posting" to the Group.
Reply:you could creat a distribution list or a yahoo group(private)
Reply:Why not make one account and send everyone the password and address?

How do I send a an email to a group without all their emails showing?

Just BCC (blind carbon copy) all of your friends. It makes the other e-mail addresses invisible.

How do I send a an email to a group without all their emails showing?

Reply:Send to yourself and "bcc" them all

What can I do if someone used my group name for their email address?

This person is using my exact group name and adding a "-owener@yahoo.com" she is not even a member of the group. When her mail goes out the address even says "On behalf of " her name. This is very misleading. There is a major issue with the group because everyone needs to be registered with headquares to be on the yahoo group. Is there anyway to freeze her addy?

What can I do if someone used my group name for their email address?
Change the group name. report the email address to Yahoo!customer care.

See if the link bellow works. If not go through Yahoo help and click the Report Abuse link.

Reply:Hmmm, pretty real, huh?

Did you enter this contest? I'm guessing that if you are asking if they are legit, then you do not know and if you do not know, then you did not enter anything. How can you win if you did not enter?!?

It is a scam to get your personal information and/or money.

Do not respond to it.

Report it to yahoo, so they are aware.

Forward to spam@yahoo.com or spoof@yahoo.com (If it involves a lot of money)

And for your E-mail safety, remember:

Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure of who sent it, treat ALL others as spam.

Never give your personal information out to anyone, be it E-mail, snail mail, phone calls or at your front door.

How do I email people in my group?

I am recieving emails from people in my group but when I reply or put in the address of my yahoo group I get a message that it was undeliverable. I have registered at bonnie.parkin@yahoo.com but have an alternate adress that mail is delivered to. What am I doing wrong in order to recieve mail from the yahoo group but not be able to send any out?- Thanks - Bonnie

How do I email people in my group?
it would help to know the error listed on that returned mail. you either need to reply while reading on the group, or reply from the address you have chosen for that group. the posting address will end with @yahoogroups.com

to check that address,

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Message Delivery, look to see what is selected- click the arrow for the drop down box and select other address- click save changes
Reply:Most groups require membership to avoid spammers. Thus if you are a member of the group as one address but send mail to the group by any other address your message will be rejected.

I received an email from "yahoo group promo" re: Your email Won...So, is it spam?

Reply:Beware. Yahoo answers have not opened any such competetion. Even you fair quite well they declare theanswers as Best Answers. And they also underline Top Answerers on the basis of expertise in answering in a particular field. Just ignore such spams

What is this site and why cant i im you why this site and not just email do you want to start a group?

Yahoo Answers is a Question and Answer site allowing the public to ask questions (like yours) and get answers (like mine). Not everyone on here wants to allow email or IM contacts. There are already a LOT of groups associated with this site.

Check this link: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_sy...

for all the information about scoring, points and levels. You can return to that page by clicking the blue # link next to your points or level by your avatar. Also:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers...

which is the blue HELP link at the top right of this page has a lot of answers and instructions for you. Welcome %26amp; have fun!!

What is this site and why cant i im you why this site and not just email do you want to start a group?
I believe the site is YAHOO! Answers. Yes I would be interested in starting a group.
Reply:I don't think you get the real beauty of this site. This site was created not only to chat with people but to help others out. Think about it, you have a question about anything, you just submit your question and people from all around the world and all walks of life will in turn submit their answers. Where else do you have such an awesome access to so many people. You can still IM this site at the same time. Don't reject, embrace! You will become addicted like the rest of us. Enjoy!

Replying to an email using the group email address...?

Hello,

In my company we have an email group called service. All emails sent to service@mycompany.com get routed by the server (SBS 2003) to 4 people that are a part of the service e-mail group.

is there any way that i can set mailboxes so when they respond to a service e-mail it sends it from service@mycompany.com instead of j.hendrix@mycompany.com, p.griffin@mycompany.com etc..

Replying to an email using the group email address...?
No way!
Reply:yes provided your running exchange 2003 you can grant permissions to that mailbox service@mycompany.com, this would then allow you to select service@mycompany.com in the from field.

If your not familiar with this you should have a systems administrator or exchange expert at your company able to make the change.

The only issue you will have is if the service@mycompany.com address is just an entry in your Global Address List (GAL) and not actually a mail box. This can be easily changed though.

At my company we do it all the time we have an ithelpdesk@mycompany.com address and its routed to 8 people including an application that automaticly logs the job.

once the job is loged the helpdesk staff can respond using there ithelpdesk@mycompany.com address
