How do I set up my group to send an automatic introductory email to new members?

Prepare a text file of the message with hard line breaks (enter key on your keyboard) where you want each line to end. Highlight and copy the finished message.





Click on Create Text File on this page (XXX=your exact group name):


http://groups.yahoo.com/group/XXX/files/





Give your File a name ("Welcome New Members") and Paste the copied file into the obvious place.





Check off when you want the file to be sent* and Save the change.





* Upon pending membership (if you approve new members)


* Upon joining group (after approval or on joining, it no approval is required)





As always, hit the Save button! :-)
